Portfolio management is the discipline of keeping registered trademarks and patents alive. The most expensive mistake we have seen in 31 years: a missed renewal deadline. When the ₺7,000–10,000 fee due every 10 years is forgotten, what is lost is not the registration but the entire market built around it. Reminding the client is the attorney's responsibility.
§1 What portfolio management covers
Renewal calendar. Advance notice of the 10-year renewal date for each trademark; budget revision when official fees are updated.
Watch service. Weekly scanning of the Official Trademark Bulletin (TÜRKPATENT), EUIPO eUREN and WIPO Madrid Monitor for similar applications. Filing an opposition within the 2-month window against any threatening filing.
Transfer & licensing. Recording at TÜRKPATENT for mergers, ownership changes, in-licensing and out-licensing.
Tax & incentive monitoring. Patent Box regime benefits (Corporate Tax Code art. 5/B), R&D deduction, KOSGEB Trademark Registration Support filing calendar.

For firms with fewer than 20 registrations — a fixed-fee annual package; for 20–100 — an extended-scope package; for 100+ a dedicated corporate account manager. Some of the corporate clients Salih Bey has handled since 1996 are now on this package.
