Within the legal and commercial relationship we establish with you, the following categories of personal data may be processed:

• Identity data (full name, Turkish national ID number — where required)

• Professional / company data (trade name, tax number, sector)
• Technical information relating to your trademark, patent or design files
• Technical data relating to website use (IP — hashed, user agent, visit timestamp)
• Form submissions (Trademark Pre-Search, Fee Calculator, contact form content)

3. Purposes of Processing

• Carrying out trademark, patent, design and geographical indication registration procedures under Industrial Property Law No. 6769 (SMK)
• Filing applications with TÜRKPATENT, EUIPO, WIPO and other official authorities
• Establishing and maintaining the client–attorney/representative relationship
• Complying with legal obligations (bookkeeping, tax, invoicing)
• Responding to contact requests and providing information about our services
• Website usage analytics (anonymous, KVKK-compliant Plausible)

4. Legal Bases (KVKK art. 5)

• Explicit consent (form submissions, newsletter subscription)
• Necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract (representation relationship)
• Compliance with a legal obligation to which the data controller is subject
• Necessity for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right (defence proceedings)
• Legitimate interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f — anti-spam, website analytics)

5. Parties to Whom Personal Data May Be Transferred

Your personal data may be transferred, to the extent necessary, to the following parties:

• Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) — for application and registry procedures
• WIPO, EUIPO and the industrial property offices of target countries — for international filings
• KOSGEB and the Ministry of Trade — for grant / incentive applications (with your consent)
• Courts, public prosecutors and administrative authorities, within the scope of legal representation
• Accounting, banking and insurance providers we work with (legal obligations)
• Our service providers — Sanity (content management), Neon (database), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting). Data processing agreements have been signed with each of these providers.

6. Retention Periods

• Client file data: term of the power of attorney + 10 years (Turkish Attorneyship Law art. 36-37)
• Website form submissions: 24 months (KVKK-compliant retention; automatic anonymisation thereafter)
• Plausible Analytics: collects no personal data (cookieless); 12 months of aggregate data
• Cookie preference: 12 months (re-consent then requested)

7. Data Subject Rights (KVKK art. 11)

Under KVKK art. 11, every data subject has the right to:

• Learn whether their personal data is being processed
• Request information if their personal data has been processed
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is being used in line with that purpose
• Know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom the data has been transferred
• Request rectification where the data is incomplete or inaccurate
• Request erasure or destruction within the framework provided by KVKK art. 7
• Request that any such rectification, erasure or destruction be notified to third parties to whom the data has been transferred
• Object to a result that is to their detriment arising from analysis carried out solely by automated systems
• Claim compensation for damages incurred as a result of unlawful processing

To exercise your rights under the KVKK, you may complete the Data Subject Application Form and send it to our postal address with a wet-ink signature, or send it to our KEP address.

Your request will be answered within 30 days at the latest, as required by KVKK art. 13/2. The response will be delivered through the same channel as your original request.
