Turkish Trademark Registration Fees 2026: Official Fee + VAT + Attorney Fee — A Transparent Calculation

Under the TÜRKPATENT 2026 fee schedule, a single-class trademark filing fee is ₺2,820 and the registration certificate ₺7,010. How attorney fees, VAT and KOSGEB support work — a transparent calculation.

In the market you see two kinds of trademark-fee advertising: those saying "₺1,300 for trademark registration" and those promising "transparent pricing". This article shows the real numbers behind the second group: TÜRKPATENT's 2026 fee schedule, the attorney fee, VAT, and the KOSGEB Trademark Registration Support — step by step.

Official fees — 2026 schedule

The 2026 TÜRKPATENT fee schedule (Official Gazette 31.12.2025 Issue 32420 bis) defines four main fees for trademark registration:

Minimum total for a single class: 2,820 + 7,010 = ₺9,830.

Two classes: 2,820 + 2,820 + 7,010 = ₺12,650.

Three classes: 2,820 + 2,820 + 3,150 + 7,010 = ₺15,800.

These fees are official and not subject to VAT (exempted under VAT Code art. 17).

Attorney fee

Official fees + attorney fee = total cost. The attorney-fee market is not transparent; at the low end you see "trademark registration for ₺1,300" advertisements — a number lower than the official fee itself. At the upper end, ₺5,000–15,000 is a reasonable range for a standard single-class file.

"Trademark registration for ₺1,300" — is it real?

No. The official fee alone is ₺2,820. A ₺1,300 offer typically means:

  1. Half-service: filing only; no defence, no opposition response, no renewal reminder.
  2. Hidden surcharges: "an additional fee for this document", "an additional consultation for this defence" during the process.
  3. Invalid filing: wrong classification, no pre-search. When refused, the fee is not refunded.

VAT — applied only to the attorney fee

The 2026 VAT rate is 20%. Official TÜRKPATENT fees are outside VAT. VAT applies only to the attorney fee.

Example: single-class trademark, attorney fee ₺8,000:

  • Official fee: ₺9,830 (VAT excluded)
  • Attorney fee: ₺8,000 + VAT 20% = ₺9,600
  • Total: ₺19,430

KOSGEB Trademark Registration Support

Renewal — what happens after 10 years?

A trademark registration is valid for 10 years. The renewal fee is updated annually via the Official Gazette. Under SMK art. 23, renewal is possible:

  • Final 6 months (standard): before the protection term ends
  • Additional 6 months (penalty): after the term ends

If this window passes, the trademark right is lost.
